"Full Circle: From Students to Teachers"

The month was marked by summer vacation, yet it was anything but quiet for our team and students. As part of our Project + 10 initiative, we organized an enriching excursion for 50 students, providing them with a valuable learning experience outside the classroom. A particularly proud moment for us was seeing three of our former students step into roles as teaching staff at Building Blocks, a testament to their growth and dedication. Their journey from students to educators highlights the impact of our programs and the continuous cycle of learning and mentorship within our community.

Shravani

Shravani

Shravani is a bright and determined young woman whose journey reflects resilience and ambition. She began her education at Building Blocks in 2012 as a K4 student, supported by sponsorship from Analog Devices India Private Limited. She studied at St. Joseph Convent School until 7th grade before transferring to Holy Cross School, where she completed her SSLC with a commendable 68% score, earning a First Class.

In 2024, she joined Building Blocks Daisy as an Assistant Teacher while pursuing her NTT (Teacher training course) once again sponsored by Analog Devices India. Shravani aspires to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer, driven by her dedication to academic and professional growth.

Coming from a modest background, she lives with her mother, who works as a housemaid, and her elder brother, who is a courier worker, following her parents' separation. Despite financial hardships, Shravani balances her job, studies, and household responsibilities while contributing to the family's income—an inspiring testament to her perseverance and commitment to a brighter future.

Shoba

Shoba is a kind-hearted and talented young woman, known for her exceptional dancing skills and willingness to help others. She began her education at Bluebells as a K3 student in 2009-2010, graduating in 2011-2012 with sponsorship from Mr. Aruna Sethibal. She later attended RJS School, completing high school with 61% marks in 2021-22, followed by 1st-year commerce at Nobel College in 2022-23 and Electronics and Communications at GTTC in 2023-24. Since September 2024, she has been working as an assistant teacher at Bluebells while pursuing her NTT teacher training course.

Growing up in difficult circumstances, Shoba showed remarkable resilience. Her mother works in housekeeping, while her father, a daily laborer struggling to get work. With two younger brothers still in school, their family's financial struggles made education a challenge. Despite these obstacles, she completed her first year of pre-university but had to discontinue due to financial constraints and a long commute. Determined to move forward, she enrolled in a sponsored electronics course and later discovered her passion for teaching. Now excelling as an assistant teacher, Shoba continues to build her future, proving that perseverance can overcome adversity.

Priyanka

Priyanka is a dedicated individual with a passion for art and craft. Her journey has been shaped by resilience and determination. She joined Bluebells as a K3 student in 2009-2010 and graduated in 2011-2012 under the sponsorship of Mr. Aniel Jhingoeri, who later built her a home in 2010, giving her a safe and comfortable space that profoundly impacted her life.

She pursued her education at RJS School, completing high school with 64% marks in 2021-22, followed by 1st-year commerce at Nobel College in 2022-23. In 2024, she completed a Basic Computer course at Bluebells Bloom. Since then, Priyanka has been working at Bluebells as an Assistant Teacher while simultaneously studying for her NTT, teacher training course, furthering her aspiration to become a teacher and continue in Building Blocks.

Priyanka has faced significant challenges. Her father tragically passed away due to an electrical shock during a rainy season when she was just ten months old. Raised by her single mother, who works in housekeeping for a company, Priyanka and her older, married sister had to navigate hardships with limited resources. Despite the difficulties her mother faced in providing for the family, Priyanka remained determined to create a stable future for herself. Having studied in Building Blocks since she was three years old, she continues to strive towards her dream of becoming a teacher, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and dedication.

Project +10 Student' Trip To Mysore

During the summer vacation, Project +10 students embarked on a memorable trip to Mysore, filled with adventure and learning. They visited the Mysore Zoo, explored the grand Maharaja’s Palace, trekked Chamundi Hills, evening water fountain lights show and soaked in the spiritual atmosphere of the temple, where they delivered a remarkable performance in the temple arena. Thanks to the generosity of the local seminary, they enjoyed comfortable accommodation, making the experience even more enriching. Mr. James’s inspiring talk on success and failure sparked meaningful discussions, motivating students to strive for self-improvement. Beyond sightseeing, the trip fostered interaction, learning, and personal growth, marking a significant step in their educational journey.

A Reflection from One of Our Students

"Our trip to Mysore was one of the most fun and memorable experiences I’ve had. Though I have visited Mysore three times before, this trip was by far the best! I discovered many new things that I hadn’t learned during my previous visits.

We stayed in a lovely convent, and the food was absolutely delicious. In the evening, we visited Krishnarajasagar Dam (KRS), where we took many pictures of the breathtaking water view. The musical fountain show was mesmerizing and a delight to watch.

One of the most exciting moments for me was climbing Chamundi Hills—it was the first time I had climbed to the top, and it felt like a brand-new adventure! I even had the chance to dance in the temple, which made the experience even more special.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who made this trip possible and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to James Sir for his inspiring talk about success and failure. It gave me a new perspective on facing challenges and striving for excellence."

Thank You

It is truly heartwarming to witness the incredible transformation of these young girls who first walked through the doors of Building Blocks as three-year-olds. From eager little learners to dedicated educators shaping young minds, their journey is a testament to resilience, growth, and the power of opportunity. Their futures shine brightly, filled with promise, and will only continue to soar to greater heights.

This extraordinary progress would not have been possible without your unwavering support and generosity. Because of you, these children have been given a chance to dream, to learn, and to build futures filled with endless possibilities. Your kindness has paved the way for their success, lighting up paths that once seemed uncertain.

Thank you for believing in them, for standing beside them, and for being a part of this incredible journey. Your faith and commitment are truly changing lives, one child at a time.
