Pongal Celebrations

On January 5th, we welcomed the children back after the winter holidays with New Year celebrations, fun games, and a day filled with laughter and joy. Soon after, Pongal brought radiant festivities, with children glowing in traditional dress and spirit. That same joy carried into excursions, parent–teacher meetings, and the steady rhythm of classes, enriched by visits from friends and donors who added warmth and encouragement along the way.

Excursion

Our children enjoyed a delightful excursion to Bal Bhavan, where every corner offered something exciting. They had fun in the playground, took boat rides, and hopped aboard the little train that chugged through the park. The towering dinosaur figures sparked wonder and imagination, making the day feel like an adventure. It was a time of fun, discovery, and shared joy that the children will remember fondly.

Parent Teacher Meeting

Ms. Christina and Ms. Pushpa, our social work team guided a vibrant community meeting with the parents of our Project + 10 children. They shared updates on the examination results and underlined the importance of regular attendance, encouraging parents to partner closely in their children’s learning journey.

The team also carried out dedicated house visits for new K3 admissions, reaching 31 households. Together, these efforts reflected the strength of parent engagement and the team’s commitment to welcoming new learners into our centers with care and diligence.

Pongal Celebrations

Our centers came alive with the vibrant Pongal celebration. Children arrived in beautiful traditional dress, filling the day with color and joy. The teachers adorned the school with sugarcane, rangoli, and festive décor, and served a special lunch that captured the season’s spirit. Through these celebrations, the children not only enjoyed the festivities but also learned the meaning of the festival—its traditions, values, and the joy of harvest. It was a wonderful day of culture, learning, and togetherness.

Project +10 Students Academic Evaluation

Our MEO (Monitoring Evaluation Officer) visited the PPT students’ schools to conduct evaluations, carefully observing their academic progress and overall growth. These visits were not only an opportunity to assess performance but also to strengthen collaboration with the schools. The feedback shared by the students’ class teachers proved invaluable, offering deeper insights into each child’s learning journey, strengths, and areas for improvement. Together, these evaluations and teacher perspectives give us a clearer picture of how our students are thriving and where we can support them further.
