We are proud of their achievements and grateful for their participation.

We also inaugurated a new center to expand our services. Here are some photos and news of the events of this month.

Children's Day Celebrations

On November 11th, we celebrated Children’s Day. The program was a grand success, with many performances. It started with the inauguration by lighting the lamp, followed by an introduction dance and song by the students of Shishu Mandir. We had skits on various themes and social issues such as saving the girl child, pollution of the environment by using plastics, saving water, and safe use of mobile phones by Project + 10 students. Students from Building Blocks K5 showcased the customs of different Karnataka state regions through dance performances.

Many friends and sponsors attended the program and appreciated our efforts. A team of Japanese sponsors was present for the event. Two of them gave us a performance playing a unique Japanese instrument. The program was hosted by two graduates Helen and Benita of Building Blocks, who did a great job of engaging the audience. We also heard a testimony from a graduate of Building Blocks who has become a teacher now. She shared her inspiring journey and motivated the young students present to pursue their dreams. The program ended with a vote of thanks and a group photo. It was an amazing day that concluded with a delicious meal sponsored by Marriot Hotels Bangalore.

A team of Japanese visitors came to Building Blocks India. They spent time with the children, gave them gifts, and participated in their day program. They also visited the slums where the children live and met their families. They learned about the children’s living conditions and the challenges they face. The visitors decided to sponsor the education of some of the children and help them achieve their dreams. The visitors also got to know the culture of Karnataka and its people. They visited different Building Blocks centers and interacted with the staff and the volunteers. They had a memorable and meaningful experience with Building Blocks India.
