April 2025 Monthly Newsletter

Updated: Apr 23

As the academic year comes to a close, we bid farewell to March with pride and joy. This month marked a significant milestone, as our Upper Kindergarten (K5) students graduated, embarking on their journey to primary school. Amidst this celebration, we also witnessed an array of activities, including a successful dental camp and an engaging volunteers' workshop, reflecting our commitment to holistic education and care. It has truly been a month of growth, achievement, and meaningful moments.

III Assessment Test

Our final and III assessment tests were conducted for all grades—K3, K4, and K5—with great attention to ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the students' learning progress. The subjects covered in these tests included English, Math, Social Science, Moral Science, and Kannada language. These assessments provided valuable insights into the students' academic achievements across multiple disciplines, highlighting their growth and dedication throughout the academic year.

Parent Teacher Meeting

Following the completion of the final III assessment test and the announcement of the results, the teachers conducted a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) to distribute the report cards. During the meeting, parents expressed their happiness with their children's academic performance and shared valuable feedback about the school's environment, curriculum, classroom activities, and nutritious meals provided. The PTM fostered meaningful dialogue and strengthened the bond between educators and parents.

Graduation Ceremony

Hibiscus

This month, we celebrated the graduation of our K5 children to 1st grade primary school. The event was vibrant and filled with joy as the school was beautifully decorated. Proud parents cheered as their children received graduation certificates on stage, and local government leaders graced the occasion with their presence. The children also showcased their talent with a delightful dance performance, making the day memorable for everyone.

Morning Glory

The Morning Glory branch of Building Blocks celebrated its K5 students' graduation this month with a vibrant ceremony. The children delighted the audience with lively performances, and guests from Orange County Resort, the school's benefactors, praised the progress achieved. Mr. James, the founder, highlighted the students' remarkable improvement in academics, while parents expressed gratitude for the school's tremendous support, wishing for its extension to higher grades. The event was a resounding success, bringing joy to all involved.

Dental Checkup

We had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Shyamala and her wonderful team to our school. They conducted a dental camp for our regular students from classes K3, K4, and K5, demonstrating immense love, care, and kindness towards our children.

The team handled the children with great sensitivity, ensuring their experience was both comfortable and reassuring.

In addition, Dr. Shyamala took the time to meet with parents, sharing valuable insights on dental care and offering tips for maintaining good oral hygiene.

We are deeply grateful for this opportunity and extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Shyamala, Dr Sarita and Dr Chandu for their dedication and hard work. Their commitment to providing essential healthcare services to our children is truly commendable.

Volunteers Workshop For Students

The interns from Marian College conducted an engaging session at Building Blocks Jacaranda, teaching life skills such as healthy eating, personal hygiene, good manners, and limiting screen time. Through activities like a “Healthy vs Junk Food” game and a creative demonstration using glitter to represent germs, they taught the importance of nutritious choices and proper handwashing. The children learned about being polite, kind, and spending time outdoors instead of excessive phone use. To reinforce healthy eating, the trainees served fruits like watermelon and grapes. The session, blending fun and education, successfully equipped the children with habits for a healthier and happier future.

Holi And Ugadi Festival Celebration

This March, our kindergarten school came alive with the festive spirit as we celebrated Holi and Ugadi with great enthusiasm. The children enjoyed the colorful festivities of Holi, exploring the significance of the festival through playful activities. For Ugadi, they learned about the traditions and cultural importance of welcoming the new year. Both celebrations were filled with joy, learning, and togetherness, making them memorable moments for our little ones.

Thank You

"We deeply appreciate your unwavering support, which empowers these children with access to education, nutrition, and care every month, transforming their lives in remarkable ways. Thanks to your generous contributions, another group of children has successfully graduated and will be joining regular school, taking significant steps towards a brighter and more promising future."
